The Casio RZ-1, released in 1986, features 12 PCM sampled drum sounds and on-board sampling that allows creation of up to four custom percussion sounds. Sampling specs include a 20kHz sample rate and 0.2 seconds of sample time per pad. It also includes a built-in sequencer facilitating pattern and song creation, has ten individual outputs, and volume sliders for each sound.
