NAMM 2022: Casio today reveals the launch of a new limited edition CT-S1 digital keyboard, called the CT-S1FH.

The limited-edition digital keyboard has had a revamp and sports a brand new look, thanks to artist Romero Britto.

Britto, dubbed as the “modern-day Picasso” is a huge name in the pop art scene, combining Cubism and Pop art styles in a bright, colourful way. This style can be instantly recognisable on the CT-S1FH, which looks trendy in its off white casing with Britto’s signature design behind the keys.

The collaboration, Casio claims, was formed because of a common approach Casio has to musical instrument manufacturing as Britto has towards art. While Casio says they aim to make its instruments accessible to as many people as possible, Romero Britto makes art “relatable” by “expressing hope and happiness in his work with vibrant colours and bold patterns”.

The new design is based on the Casiotone CT-S1WE, which is a 61 key MIDI keyboard that comes in a compact, transportable size and offers in-built Bass Reflex speakers, again providing accessibility.

Other features of the keyboard include high-quality AiX sound, a Surround Sound mode, and the ability to connect to a smartphone or tablet. With the keyboard, you also get a bluetooth dongle and SP-3 sustain pedal.

Remarking upon the CT-S1FH, Romero Britto has said: “The artwork I created for the Casiotone came from the inspiration of music. Every time I listen to music, it makes me feel energised, makes me feel happy, and makes me want to create even more artwork. So I invite you to make music anytime, anywhere, as you feel it – as vivid and as colourful as my art – with the new CT-S1FH. Enjoy the Britto and Casio collaboration!”

The CT-S1FH is on show at NAMM 2022 at Booth 91390. For more information about the keyboard, head to casio.co.uk/emi.
