Moog’s Matriarch is now shipping
Semi-modular, four-note synth was first unveiled at Superbooth 2019.

Back at Superbooth 2019, Moog unveiled a 49-key analogue synth known as Matriarch. The retro-looking unit is now shipping and will set you back a cool $1,999.
Matriarch is the flagship device in Moog’s semi-modular line-up, which also includes Grandmother and Mother-32. What distinguishes Matriarch from its siblings is four-note paraphony, which lets you play separate notes on the four oscillators despite them all sharing the same filter and envelope.
Similar to Grandmother, Matriarch requires no patching and should be ready for sound-making out of the box. Another plus is the device’s 90 patch points, which provide you with an abundance of signal routing options.
