William Orbit (b. 1956) is an English musician, composer, and record producer of ambient, electronic, and dance music. He has released solo albums on labels such as Guerilla, Strange Cargo, and his own label, Strange Fruit, and has produced for Madonna, Blur, and U2. His key albums include Strange Cargo (1987), Pieces in a Modern Style (2000), Hello Waveforms (2005), and My Oracle Lives Uptown (2009). His most recent album, "Moonshine", was released in 2019. He has won several awards, including a Grammy for producing Madonna's 1998 album "Ray of Light".
