Point Blank spent some time last month in Amsterdam to attend the annual Amsterdam Dance Event, 2019. Alongside checking out the variety of panels and parties on offer, the team used the opportunity to catch up with a number of talented producers and DJs.

During the many musical Q&A sessions they got stuck into, Point Blank was adamant in asking one simple question to each artist: ‘What is your one tip for an upcoming electronic music producer?’. The video above is the result, with some quite enlightening tips.

Boris Brejcha, Gammer, Dezza, Martin Jensen, Gallya and more are all included in the snappy video. The ‘One Tip’ is these artists’ vital advice for breaking through as a new artist. They touch on points from improving your workflow and honing your craft, to keeping positive and maintaining self-belief in achieving your creative vision.

The team as Point Blank have their own One Tip to share as well: “When starting out, it’s great to keep your own focuses and goals in mind and try not to pay too much attention to other people’s progress – remember, everyone’s journey is different”.

Point Blank has many more tips on its YouTube channel, with inputs from Point Blank lecturers and other featured artists, who have decades of experience in the music industry that they’re eager to share. A range of acclaimed courses at Point Blank Music School can be found here.
