Best described as deep house with a jackin’ garage twist, this collection from Loopmasters features 584MB worth of 24-bit audio, across 403 loops and hits, plus 63 sampler patches. There are folders of weighty synth-bass grooves, resonant synth pads and keys patterns, and stomping house beats, all at a steady 124bpm.
You’ll also find some decent and suitably chunky-sounding one-shots covering bass, synth, effects, vox and drum hits. There are few surprises here, but the pack is elevated by the quality of the analogue sound sources, and the upfront nature of the loops, which would cut through well on a club sound system.
It’s a bit of a missed opportunity not to have included MIDI for the bass and some of the keys patterns, but overall, this is an effective toolkit of useful, well-mixed house sounds.
