Welcome to Ableton Live 2017! This is a special issue of MusicTech dedicated to the incredible music making marvel that is Ableton Live. It used to be that Ableton or Live (you decide) was the number one piece of software for music producers who just wanted to make music on a laptop and nothing else. But with the trend of hardware returning to music production and, of course, the increased use of iOS devices, Live has matured into something of a hub for everything – hard or soft.
