Gruv Gear finds a solution to recovering lost-and-found tech
The company partners with HomingPin to track lost luggage

California based travel bags manufacturer, Gruv Gear, has announced its collaboration with HomingPIN, a UK tech company. HomingPIN’s flagship product of the same name is a recovery tag equipped with a unique alphanumeric code that can be attached to an item. The device creates a process to recover lost property with help from airports and fellow travellers. HomingPIN is in use at over 2,800 airports worldwide, and Gruv Gear is launching 10 new bags that integrate the recovery tag.
Speaking on the alliance, President of Gruv Gear Jay Baldemor said “Our backpacks and instrument cases are becoming more ubiquitous with musicians, producers, and savvy travellers. They are carrying laptops, music controllers, hard drives, cameras, and instruments, usually thousands of dollars of gear. Our goal is to give them peace of mind, not only with the quality and protection of bags we offer, but also with security and recovery. We’ve dubbed the HomingPIN as our Global Recovery Tag, and we are implementing it directly into 10 travel bag models as we speak, literally by laser-etching a unique code on a prominent metal badge on the product. HomingPIN has generously offered to give our customers the first year of service at no charge, truly a tremendous value for the added peace of mind.”
Gruv Gear is launching HomingPIN’s Global Recovery Tag feature built-in to the following products:
• Kapsule travel guitar case
• SLNG personal tech pack
• QUIVR T our drum stick bag
• Stadium Bag
• Club Bag
Current owners of Gruv Gear backpacks and cases are able to purchase tags on gruvgear.com/foundit and receive the complimentary first-year service as well.
