The 1010music Blackbox is a desktop sampling powerhouse
A compact sampling workstation with touchscreen and stereo effects.

1010music, the company behind the Bitbox and Synthbox Eurorack modules, enters the desktop world with Blackbox, a portable touchscreen sampler and sequencer.
At the Blackbox’s heart is a touchscreen interface, the hub where you record and edit your beats. The device lets you create sequences from samples by tapping on pads, playing a virtual keyboard, employing external MIDI controllers or simply drawing in notes via a standard piano roll editor.
Having created your sequences, you can then trigger them in order to build full compositions. Your creations can also be polished up with Blackbox’s mixing functions and stereo effects.
To get you started, the unit is bundled with a wealth of sample content from SoundTrack Loops and Loopmasters.
Here’s a quick rundown of the Blackbox’s other specs:
- Built-in BPM synchronization and beat-slicing
- Expandable microSD memory slot
- Ins/Outs:
- MIDI IO and Clock via USB and TRS
- One 1/8” Audio In, three 1/8” Audio Outs
- One 1/8” Headphone/Stereo Output
- USB-powered connection
