Spitfire Audio’s new Ambient Guitars collection is perfect for dark creations
Guitar sounds, textures and loops recorded by guitarist Leo Abrahams.

Spitfire Audio has unveiled Ambient Guitars, a collection of cinematic guitar sounds, textures and loops recorded by guitarist/producer Leo Abrahams. This collection is designed to complement TV, films or video games of a darker nature.
Ambient Guitars combines both new and old content, presented in Spitfire’s eDNA Engine UI. There’s more than 600 sounds at your disposal – over 10GB of which is brand new material, including a new set of textures recorded by Abrahams in 2019: Amped Guitar Pads. There’s also 160 new artist presets created by Christian Henson & Paul Thomson (Spitfire Audio founders and award-winning composers).

Legacy content, on the other hand, includes two Spitfire classics, Enigma 1 and Enigma 2: The Rapture. Both were recorded by Abrahams back in 2013. Enigma 2, in particular, has been renamed ‘Distorted’ and features 18 tight, overdriven electric guitars played through three virtual amps and a host of pedals. Spitfire says you can layer on distortion and feedback here to create “walls of sound or devastatingly haunting, dark, distorted beauty”.
