RØDE supplements Wireless GO system with Lavalier GO mic
Makers promise broadcast-grade sound with new lav mic.

RØDE has debuted Lavalier GO, a professional-grade lavalier mic designed for filmmaking, vlogging and journalism. Although the mic is tailored to RØDE’s Wireless GO – branded as the world’s smallest, most versatile mic system – it’s also compatible with most recording devices that have a powered 3.5mm TRS mic input.
Setting up the Wireless GO system is as simple as plugging the mic into the transmitter, clipping the mic to a shirt and hiding the transmitter.
The microphone’s key feature is a 4.5mm omnidirectional condenser capsule that’s not only designed to capture audio clearly in different environments but is also “incredibly forgiving when it comes to placement on talent”, according to RØDE. The capsule is complemented by a Kevlar-reinforced cable that’s designed for durability.
Here’s a quick overview of the new lavalier mic:
The Lavalier GO will be available soon at $79, while the Wireless GO is now retailing at $199. More info at rode.com.
