Swiss audio hardware makers Lenco have unveiled the LS-50 range of affordable turntables, featuring built-in speakers and an LCD light show that syncs to the beat of the music you’re playing.

Lenco’s LS-50 range includes the base LS-50 and the LS-50LED, which are priced at £130 and £150 respectively. All five models in the range feature a pair of drivers built into the front legs of the device and a belt-driven mechanism that allows the user to manually adjust the playing speed to 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM.

All models sport a wooden build, ceramic cartridge, mechanical arm lift and an adjustable counterweight for pin pressure. The turntables also have a 300mm platter for the records themselves and can digitise output through USB connection or connect to external speakers via RCA. The LS-50 range does not come with Bluetooth connectivity though, which is somewhat expected at the price point.

The black-finished LS-50LED model comes with the aforementioned features as well as LED lights that autofade or synchronise with the music being played on the turntable from a selection of seven colours. Users can also manually select their favourite colour on the turntable or turn the feature off entirely according to their liking.

Earlier this year in February, Lenco launched their 400 series of turntables. The LS-410, LS-430 and LS-440 belt-driven turntables all come with four built-in speakers, two 15W and two 10W. The range is more expensive than the LS-50 series with the LS-410, starting at £220, and all models featuring high-quality Audio-Technica cartridges, Bluetooth connectivity, and four built-in speakers.

The Lenco LS-50 series is now on sale on Lenco’s website.
