Arturia MiniLab MKII

Arturia’s 25-note keyboard, MiniLab MKII, has become a studio favourite for many, including Andrew Huang – and us! The company has released a limited edition version of the portable controller, that inverts the original colour scheme, now finished in all black with white highlights. This is hot off the heels of the Step series receiving a similar dark makeover.

The MiniLab MKII still sports the same features as it’s pearlier-looking sibling, with 25 velocity-sensitive keys, two banks of eight high-quality velocity-sensitive pads with RGB backlighting, 16 rotary dials and two touch sensors for pitch bend and modulation. “Despite its size, it’s a high quality, feature-packed controller giving you hands-on access to all the sounds in your virtual studio”, Arturia says.

When you purchase Arturia MiniLab MKII, you don’t just get the hardware – you’re also provided with a bundle of software to help you get started making music. Included in the package is Analog Lab Lite, that will let you play hundreds of legendary instruments, with tons of presets to get stuck into. Ableton Live Lite is also included, which the controller can easily be hooked up to, so you can start triggering loops right out the box, UVI Grand is a sampled recreation of the Steinway Model D Piano, and is also part of the bundle.

Arturia’s MiniLab MKII Inverted is available while stocks last, and is priced at €99, find out more at
