Arturia shows the Step series’ dark side

Arturia’s MIDI and CV controlling Step series has been given a sleek new skin with the Step Black Edition. Usually fashioned in a pearly white, the BeatStep, BeatStep Pro and KeyStep are all now available in black, each coming with a unique bundle of extras. The Step range synchronises the analogue and digital worlds, letting artists control software plug-ins, hardware instruments, outboard modules and DAW parameters simultaneously.

The new BeatStep comes with two CV/gate cables, plus Analog Lab, SEM V and Ableton Live Lite. The 16-pad step sequencer is available now for 99€/$129

Arturia BeatStep Pro Black Edition
Arturia’s 3-part step sequencer comes with 14 CV/gate cables. “BeatStep Pro gives the adventurous musician a powerful palette of tools to create dynamic, exciting tracks without the need for a computer screen,” Arturia says. It’s available for 249€/$289

Arturia KeyStep Black Edition
The small format keyboard sequencer has a 34-note keybed with aftertouch, and has connectivity for USB, MIDI in and out, CV Gate and Sync in & out. It’s capable of creating sequences up to 64 steps long, and is available now at 119€/$149.
