Point Blank provide us with the first instalment of their new video series: Music for Media. Course tutor Kevin Kerrigan looks at working with tempo tracks in Ableton Live.
While Ableton Live might be better know for its performance and production capabilities, it’s equally capable as a composition and scoring tool when writing music for film and TV. On our Music for Media course we show you exactly how to work with video in Live and to give you a sneak peek into the course, we’ve created a brand new video series.
Course tutor Kevin Kerrigan (BBC, Channel 4, Bravo, Discovery Channel) has 20 years experience working in music for picture and heads up our Music for Media course. In this series he shows you how to work with Temp Tracks – temporary tracks used to give the composer a feel for what’s needed – using Live 9. Watch part one here and if you want to learn more about our Music for Media course click here. On it, you’ll learn about sound design, writing themes, analysing projects and getting work in the industry.
