Tech Dissect is an event to inspire creativity and connection for Womxn in music tech
The event comprises of workshops, conversations and panel discussions with some of the best females in the industry.

Tech Dissect is a musical space to promote inclusivity and representation for Womxn in the world of music technology. The event is hosted by Saffron, a non-profit organisation founded in Bristol by Laurea Lewis-Paul in 2015. It is taking place on Saturday 9 November, 10am-5pm at Spitfire Audio, London.
With just 5% of the music tech industry being made up of women, Saffron aims to provide Womxn with the tools and opportunities to get involved in the industry. Tech Dissect will host a variety of presentations, workshops, discussions with Womxn currently working within the music world. The speakers at Tech Dissect are some of the best in the music tech industry, and include Homay Schmitz, Sofia Ilyas, Isabel Garvey, Shy One, Hannah Peel and more.
The workshops, interactive presentations, discussion and networking opportunities are catered to both entry-level and professionals in the music tech sector.
Saffron’s primary aims are:
- Support, champion and inspire Womxn in music technology
- Promote inclusivity and representation for Womxn, on stage and behind the scenes
- Teach, empower and create visibility for Womxn in male-dominated spaces
- Have a tangible effect on the stereotypes society holds about Womxn’s roles and abilities, through long-term community building and education
This is a great opportunity for Womxn who are excited about the world of music and music technology. You must identify as female or non-binary and be aged 16 or over to attend Tech Dissect. General Admission tickets are priced at £22.50, with Student tickets available at £18.
