Polar Flare is the brand new Expansion from Native Instruments that channels the natural world with organic, glacial electronica…
NI tells us that Polar Flare captures the otherworldly sounds heard in artists such as Boards of Canada, Caribou, Bonobo, Four Tet and beyond. Featuring metallic clanges, forest crackles, atmospheric synths, dreamy vocals and more, it looks to be suitable for a broad range of musical styles.
Created by Danish studio Six Bit Deep alongside Scandinavian vocalists including Josephine Phillip and Connor Fitzpatrick, Polar Flare’s sounds originate from the remote island of Bornholm, Denmark.
Here, the team recorded the sounds of surrounding life and compiled it into kits for Battery and Maschine, with further recording of classic analog synths, Rhodes keys and vocals taking place in nearby studio in an old church. New Massive and Monark presets focused on organic sounding bells, basses and pads are also included.
Pricing and Availability:
Polar Flare is available now exclusively at the NI Online Shop for $49/€49/£44/¥6,280/AU$79.
