Get your Bandcamp tracks pressed with the company’s new vinyl service
The digital distributor unveils a crowdfunding model for vinyl releases

Mesarthim’s Ghost Condensate album gets the vinyl treatment
Bandcamp has announced a new vinyl-pressing service for its artists.
With the service, Bandcamp aims to “streamline the financing, production and fulfilment of vinyl records”. Interested artists won’t have to put up initial investments. They simply need to launch vinyl campaigns – much like a Kickstarter – and meet the minimum goal for Bandcamp to press their tracks onto vinyl and begin shipping to fans.
The new initiative will also give artists control over the process, from vinyl design to campaign pricing to profit levels. And in terms of the vinyl’s production quality, Bandcamp has teamed up with a manufacturing partner touted to have over 60 years of experience in the field.
You’ll have to wait a little longer before the service is fully launched, though. The streaming company has, however, piloted the service with the likes of Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Jim Guthrie, Juliette Jade and Mesarthim.
