Ableton Loop Create is a one-day online event aimed at bringing music-makers together
“A new chapter for Loop starts now”
Ableton’s Loop Create is a one-day online event that aims to bring music-makers from around the globe together to learn new production methods, test them out and share their results as part of a larger community.
The virtual event, which is free to attend, will be hosted on a dedicated microsite for Loop events. It kicks off at 10 am (BST) on 26 June. Registration opens a month before the event, on 26 May.
The range of sessions taking place at Loop Create includes facilitated conversations hosted by guest artists, musicians, technologists and educators. In the past, Loop events have featured the likes of Simon Reynolds, Kelela, Richard Devine, Equicknoxx and more. Ableton is yet to name any artists or producers for the upcoming Loop Create event, however.
On top of that, attendees are also said to be able to meet fellow music-makers at the event. Sessions will be repeated in full, so as to allow viewers from different time zones to join in.
Last year, Ableton took the 2020 edition of its annual in-person Loop Summit online, out of safety from COVID-19. In a press release, the company explained that, moving forward, it will use a combination of virtual and in-person platforms to host events, beginning with Loop Create.
“A new chapter for Loop starts now,” Ableton wrote. “The Loop experience of previous years is being reshaped and developed into new events, taking place online, in-person and a combination of the two.”
