Regardless of whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro, knowing the ins and outs of a new instrument interface isn’t always a straightforward process. That’s why Arturia, in their latest update to their V Collection virtual instrument suite, has added in-app tutorials to guide you through the key features of the instruments.
Undo
Another new feature that will have sound designers weeping tears of joy is the new Undo/Redo function. We’ve all had those moments where we’ve overcooked the patch design, so now you can step back through your changes. If you’ve started from a saved patch, you can also A/B this against your edited sound without losing anything.
Catalina, NKS and new installer
As well as making the collection fully compatible with macOS Catalina, the company has also added full NKS compatibility which is good news for Native Instruments controller owners. The new functionality lets you map out control and organise sounds. Plus, Arturia has streamlined its installation process by rolling account creation, product registration, download and activation in a single new programme called Arturia Software Centre.
V Collection is available now for $499. For more information, visit arturia.com.
