Making the most out of Utility in Ableton Live 10
Are you utilising this tool effectively?
Although perhaps an often-overlooked Audio Effect in Ableton Live, Utility can be an invaluable tool in ensuring your mix is on point. With features such as Mono Bass, you can check that your low-end frequencies are impacting the stereo field as a singular force. Conversely, you can enable functions like Mid/Side mode to hear elements of your track dispersing efficiently across the stereo field and offer a more immersive listening experience.
In this Ableton Live Tutorial, Liam O’Mullane explains everything you need to know about Utility. From the aforementioned features to the simpler ones such as Gain and Balance, to the more mysterious ones like DC offset and phase reverse.
