Sidechain compression was traditionally used in radio as a means to ‘duck’ volume levels of a track for the presenter to talk without interference. This technique got into the hands of us producers and is now a common trick in electronic music. In this week’s Logic Tips series Jono Buchanan explores the techniques in Logic Pro X, and alternative ways to implement the technique.
