Musicians and producers often talk about the ‘groove’ or ’feel’ of a track. These terms may sound ambiguous but, more often than not, what’s being described is the offset of notes or beats from the tempo. You’ll learn what the terms “swing” and “groove” refer to in music production, and how to apply it using Logic Pro’s Quantize Swing values. You’ll also learn how a Groove Template can be applied to both MIDI and audio files.
