EQ, or equalisation, is a vital tool in music production. Its primary use is to attenuate unwanted frequencies in a mix or instrument, and to occasionally boost certain frequency bands. Cubase’s EQ effects might seem daunting at first, with their various graphs, filters and nodes, but we’re here to explain their features and demonstrate the multiple ways you can access EQ in the DAW.
