The useful media browser isn’t as convoluted as it appears.
Cubase’s MediaBay can look quite daunting at first glance, with its seemingly infinite menus, categories and files. Once you get familiar with its interface, the media browser can be an extremely powerful tool in your music production arsenal. You can audition audio, plug-in presets and MIDI patterns all before loading it into your track.
In this Cubase tutorial, Bruce Aisher walks you through MediaBay. You’ll learn how to navigate the MediaBay interface to hone in on the sounds you need to elevate your track, from audio files to plug-in presets. You’ll also learn about the different time-stretching modes, tempo matching and learn ways to keep MediaBay organised.
