Inspired by artists such as Objekt and Overmono and the sounds of labels such as Hessle Audio, Breaks Techno fuses elements of modern house and techno, with classic breakbeat and electronica. This 1GB+ collection contains 505 loops in your choice of WAV, Apple Loops or REX2, plus 197 drum hits with patches for EXS24, Kontakt, NN-XT and Ableton and additional kits for Battery 4, Kong and Maschine.
Every single loop is exceptionally well crafted, from the sub-heavy analogue basslines and haunting arps and sequences through to the blistering, glitched breaks and atmospheric textures. There’s a surprising amount of variety in terms of the programming and grooves, with cutting-edge sound design that manages to be both deep and heavy sounding. It might have been nice to have a few one-shot bass and synth sounds, but really this is minor – and you can always sample from the loops.
