Genre-blurring producer and multi-instrumentalist Ginger Snaps has crafted a pack of lively funk, disco and soul sounds in this new release from Loopmasters. There’s just over 1GB of 24-bit audio that covers tight and upfront drum breaks, funky guitar and organ riffs, a large and useful folder of clean, bass guitar jams and a handful of percussion and vocal loops.
These are mostly decent, although the guitars in particular could do with a little EQ taming. Perhaps more impressive are the 204 one-shots with 126 accompanying sampler instruments. Here, you’ll find mostly more electronic sounds including some superb synth pads and well-programmed bass patches, alongside drum hits, effects, organs and live bass. To round things off are a few drum MIDI loops, plus several synth presets including 35 excellent sounds for ES2. It’s a slightly unusual mix of upbeat funk and hard synth sounds, but there’s plenty here to inspire.
