Review: Loopmasters – Bad Taste Recordings – Malux
D’n’b superstar Malux presents a wide range of sonic scope in this pack
With a stream of releases on labels such as Bad Taste, RAM, Visions and more under his belt, d’n’b producer Malux brings his tech-driven sound design skills to Loopmasters. There are 79 loops and 143 one-shots totalling 308 MB of audio, available in a range of formats. This covers tight drum and percussion loops, deep cinematic pads, upfront synth stabs, aggressive neuro basses, and twisted FX.
There are also 70 patches for playing the hits in your sampler of choice. The production is excellent throughout, with plenty of movement and powerful sounding processing. Overall, it’s an interesting mix that combines loud and growling synth work, with some more thoughtful and tech-inspired chords and patterns. There’s plenty of creativity on show, but also some useful bread and butter loops to help fill out your tracks.
