Adding to the Beatmaker collection, VOID is the latest groove making agent from ujam, with a heavy focus on breakbeats and syncopation.
VOID is designed to be an ideal tool for creating drum beats for liquid, jungle, neurofunk and more subgenres of the drum ‘n’ bass family. Available in VST, AU and AAX plug-in formats, VOID allows you to “touch a single key and nail the sound you want from the get-go”, ujam says.
Featuring 10 drum separate kits and 12 smart-mix presets, VOID has the ability to get you making interesting beats even if you’ve never produced DnB before. Built-in effects like saturation, compression and Ambience can be adjusted to add the right tonal flavour to your drum beats. ujam claims its “the perfect tool to glue together your dirtiest leads, smoothest pads and thumping basslines”.
The Beatmaker expansion uses an algorithm called Vortex to combine a notch filter sweep and compressor that can be used to build dramatic risers and heavy drops. 20 styles and 50 style presets are onboard VOID, with over 460 patterns to choose from, and “no hidden menus or obscure controls” according to the company.
Also included in the plug-in is sound-shaping controls for each instrument with filter, decay and volume, plus a Master section that is home to Sweep, Saturate, Maximize and Ambience. MIDI Drag and Drop allows you to edit your grooves in a more refined way within your DAW of choice, as is the case with all Beatmaker plug-ins. VOID is cross-compatible with the entire Beatmaker series, and even Virtual Drummers.
Beatmaker VOID is now available on ujam.com for an introductory price of 49 EUR / USD (instead of the regular 69 EUR / USD) until March 1st, 2020. The Bundle of all four Beatmakers is available for 189 EUR / USD (instead of 276 EUR / USD for the single products).
