Tracktion Waveform’s Collective is now available as a third-party plug-in
The hybrid synth is available on its own or as part of a bundle.

If you’ve ever been on the lookout for a free DAW, no doubt you’ve come across Tracktion Waveform. The Pro version of the freeware music-making software comes with Collective, a sampler/synth hybrid. For the first time, this virtual instrument is now available as a plug-in for other DAWs at an affordable price.
Collective combines a vast sample library – devised by sample-capturing and voicing expert Klaus Peter Rausch – and a powerful virtual analogue synth. The sample library contains over 600 meticulously recorded sounds, of both acoustic and electronic instruments. “It contains the obvious and the obscure”, Tracktion says, “letting users explore soundscapes from around the world quickly and with ease; enabling them to surgically craft their own unique sound”.
With this symbiosis, producers can craft sounds for almost any style and genre, from atmospheric pads to harsh synth leads and deep bass parts; from warm keys to orchestral flutes. Collective boasts four oscillators, a filter and amplitude section, four effects slots, a built-in arpeggiator and four LFOs and envelopes for applying modulation.
“Developed to accompany new music composition tools, Collective is a must-have instrument for any sonic arsenal; one instrument to rule them all!”, says Tracktion.
Collective is offered in VST, AU and AAX format and can be purchased either on its own for $60 or as part of a bundle with sound packs Platforms and Beta Maxed for $99.
