Superbooth 2019: Nektar reveals deep Studio One integration
See the result of Nektar’s deep DAW integration, this time with Studio One.
When it comes to controller keyboards that neatly integrate into your recording software, it’s easy to think Native Instruments is the only game in town. Nektar Technology, however, has been making great strides in offering DAW integration with its range of advanced keyboards such as the Panorama P and T series and the Impact LX.
What’s interesting about Nektar’s approach is that instead of using the MCU (Mackie Control Universal) protocol that so many other companies do, the brand works with DAW manufacturers to create meaningful integrations that would not otherwise be possible.
In PreSonus Studio One, there are a few key features that are attractive. One is the application of fader nine as a selected track volume, instead of being for the master channel. Others include the integration with instruments, and the ability to easily adjust any control that the mouse hovers over.
PreSonus Studio One integration will be a free new feature to existing Nektar hardware owners. More info at nektartech.com.
