Chris Lord-Alge is one of the biggest names in mixing, and the compressor he’s used on 15,000 vocals is unique. The compressor in question is a Urei 1176 Rev 1 that, over the years, has been fixed and modded by various maintenance technicians.

Now, you too can have access to Chris Lord-Alge’s vocal compressor of choice, or rather a recreation of it. That’s because Black Lion Audio has gone to great lengths to recreate the device. Learn more in our video from Summer NAMM in Nashville about the design and use cases for Bluey.

The Black Lion Audio Bluey will be available at the end of the summer for $799. More information at blacklionaudio.com.
