Studio Electronics has announced several new updates to its famous Midimini, now known as the modern Midimini V30.
The Midimini V30 retains the original three-oscillator core of the Minimoog but has been revised and converted to a semi-modular analogue synth with CV and gate connections. Several other new enhancements have been made to the Midimini V30, including a new colour section that allows the user to achieve a greater bass response with higher resonance.
The Midimini V30’s new LFO can perform audio rate modulation with additional switchable MIDI sync. It also includes a waveform switch adapted from the Roland SE-02 design. The mixer section is now equipped with a new amp drive based on the Boomstar Modular AMP module.
A fully analogue exterior design has been used with the Midimini V30, along with a through-hole build used for every single PC board. 1/8-inch Eurorack connections also means that the Midimini V30 can now communicate with modular synthesisers.
