Behringer Wasp Deluxe

American online retailer Sweetwater has posted a listing for Behringer’s upcoming Wasp monosynth synth that we’ve been reporting on, and like so many other of Behringer’s recent instruments, it’s remarkably affordable. At only $298.99, it comes in at the same price as the Minimoog-inspired Model D and the semi-modular Neutron.

What is notable about this Wasp recreation is the lack of keyboard. Behringer have made a smart move here, and it’s fitting with their other desktop synth offerings, allowing MIDI control over 5-pin DIN and USB.

Size-wise, it’s designed to fit into a Eurorack case, with a width of 80HP. According to the Sweetwater listing, the monophonic Wasp Deluxe can also be chained for up to 16 voices of polyphony, should you so desire.

We look forward to getting our hands on one and will bring you more as soon as we do.

Sweetwater appears to be the first outlet with images and details, so find more information on sweetwater.com.
