Sampleson Push is a free, one-button subtractive synth
Load a random patch with the big blue button and tweak as you please
Sampleson is known for it’s low-cost, funky synth engines. Most recently, it’s release THINGS, a simple synthesiser that uses images instead of oscillators and filters, and 1959 which is an instrument based on Leo Fender’s patent that never saw life. Push is next up from the developer, being a free subtractive synth for VST and AU use, as well as being available to use as a standalone instrument.
With one central button, Push will load up a new, randomised patch using it’s two oscillators, five waveforms, six unison voices, four filter types and two LFOs. An effects section with reverb. Delay and stereo width are also built-in.
Once you have found a patch that sparks inspiration, you can use the Edit Current section to tweak the parameters until you have a sound you’re ready to use in your project. You can save the patch to your computer to come back to it in any future sessions, or select Export Bank to get a shareable file.
Push can be used in any major DAW, and is compatible with macOS Catalina and Windows 32/64bit. With a quick, easy install and a file size of just 35mb, this may interest producers who are looking to experiment and find unique sounds.
