Sample Magic’s new plugin Boost is out to achieve one thing: “To get tracks sounding as full, polished and loud as possible using a minimal amount of processing.”
Featuring a retro-look interface Boost comes loaded with multiband compression, 4-band EQ, stereo enhancement and brickwall limiting and filtering, which when used together promise to deliver a “fuller, wider and louder” mix.
When adding Boost to your mix bus, it can be used for mastering, subtle enhancements as well as dynamic shaping using four easy-to-use controls: Compress, Colour, Stereo and Limited. These controls can also be used to add new life to individual track elements
If you’d like to try it out there’s a demo on the Sample Magic website here. It’s available on both PC and Mac in VST/AU formats for £89.99, though if you’re quick you can snatch it up for the introductory price of £49.99 here.
