Reflex-Pro-X is touted as “one of the most versatile delay plug-ins on the market”
STW Audio’s multi-effects device boasts some serious potential.
On the lookout for a new delay plug-in? STW Audio’s Reflex-Pro-X might cater to all your time-based needs. The comprehensive multi-effects plug-in features four stereo delay channels with three effects slots for each channel. Four delay modes are available with a 4×4 feedback matrix, plus over 21 customisable effects, ten modulation sources and a Master FX section.
The four delay slots each provide variations of input, effect, delay mode, feedback routing and individual slot setting. The four delay modes include forward, backward, grain and tap delay modes with multiple feedback and triggering options. Altering the feedback will let you swiftly change between stereo, ping-pong and multi-feedback delays. The tap delay gives you control over time, level and pan for each of the 16 delay tap pairs.
Three semi-modular effects racks hold up to 21 different effects for each delay slot. You can set the racks to affect the sound at either pre-delay, feedback or post-delay stages. Elsewhere, four LFOs, four Trance Gate modules and a pair of envelope followers can be assigned to different parameters for deep modulation. The Feedback Matrix will also let you connect delay outputs between channels, allowing you to create complex feedback delay networks. The master section will give you rapid access to global delay time, modulation and feedback, plus a limiter/booster, send/insert modes and more.
STW Audio’s Reflex-Pro-X is compatible with Windows and macOS and is available in VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in formats. It’s currently on an introductory offer of €69, moving up to €89 on 21 August 2020.
