SigMod, a modular utility plug-in from Nugen Audio, is receiving an update that is set to offer further flexibility for its users. SigMod can now host multiple instances of the insert module, and includes hosting support for third-party VST2 and AU plug-ins. This support will allow users to access plug-ins in DAWs that are compatible with a limited number of plug-in formats. This also increases access for creative routing options, such as mid/side processing for stereo or multi-mono plug-in.

The SigMod update now features a wet/dry parameter control for the Insert module, offering the option for users to blend their affected audio signal with the original, without the use of an AUX send. Navigation controls have been improved for third-party plug-ins, including a search bar functionality and filters, in an effort to improve ease-of-use.

The software is available in AAX, VST 2 & 3, AU and AudioSuite formats in both 32 and 64-bit versions, for Mac and Windows OS. The software provides 12 single-process modules designed to enhance plug-in and DAW functionality, with modules: Mid/Side, Protect, Tap, Crossover, Insert – now with VST2 & 3 and AU, Mute/Solo, Trim, Switch, DC Off-Sets Mono, Phase, Delay.

“Our release of SigMod VST2 is a great example of how we continually strive to be at the forefront of technology,” says Paul Tapper, CEO, NUGEN Audio. “We find that tailoring our products to the specific needs of audio professionals enables them to accomplish their full creative vision in a time and results-oriented manner. We’re excited to release this product and look forward to speaking with audio pros at AES to discuss its features in greater detail”.
