Orchestral Tools Layers

NAMM 2020Orchestral Tools recently teamed up with Junkie XL to release Junkie XL Brass and has swiftly followed up with Layers. The new 17GB orchestral library is completely free for all users, with the only cost being your email address. Layers features professional sounding samples, playable with different techniques such as staccato and tenuto. The samples were all recorded in the highly regarded Teldex Studio in Berlin.

To make this a user-friendly experience for all levels of musicians, Layers features chord presets that allow you to instantly belt out rich chords with a single finger. This feature is designed with solo artists in mind, who want a string section present in a track, but may not wish to spend time arranging all the orchestral parts. A useful feature of Orchestral Tools’ instrument is the ability to group several instrument types together into layers – hence its name.

To get started with Layers, you will need a DAW to run it in, or use Orchestral Tools SINE Player. It’s available in VST and AU, and runs on Mac OS and Windows 10.

Orchestral Tools Layers is available now for free at orchestraltools.com
