KRK Classic 5 builds on the 30 year legacy of the company
The new monitor uses the designs from the Rokit studio monitor series

KRK has released the KRK Classic 5 Professional Studio Monitor. It uses the concepts from previous Rokit designs to deliver the same high-quality definition that the company has been providing for over 30 years. KRK says the new monitor is an “incredibly versatile powered nearfield studio monitor – great for any style of music”.
The Classic 5 sports a 5-inch woofer designed to provide a clear midrange and tight bass frequencies. On the higher end of the spectrum, its soft-dome tweeter delivers “smooth, pristine and articulate highs up to 35kHz”, the company says. This will ensure detailed imaging in the listening position. High and low frequency controls allow the sound to be adjusted to the environment and personal preference.
The monitor comes pre-installed with hi-density foam pad to decouple the speaker from the surface to improve clarity and provide a more accurate frequency response. Classic 5 is bi-amp with a built-in automatic limiter and low resonance enclosure for minimised distortion and colourisation. KRK has built the speaker with multiple connectivity options, with an XLR, ¼-inch and RCA connections, so it should fit into any audio listening space.
Global Director Of Marketing, Jimmy R. Landry said about the monitor: “We took into consideration what people have always loved about creating music on previous KRK monitors. From there, we zoomed in and finetuned certain components to make it an incredibly versatile monitor for music creation, mixing and mastering. With the optional +2dB KRK Bass Boost, the new CLASSIC 5 can hold true to the acclaimed KRK sound that music creators around the world have loved for years”.
