Korg teases a new synth for 2020

Korg, the 58-year-old audio company behind some of the most iconic music gear of all time, has teased a new synth for release in the new year. It almost comes as no surprise, given that two weeks ago Jean-Michel Jarre possibly let slip that the company is set to rerelease the ARP 2600. However, there’s not much indication what synth will be unveiled to us, making room for speculation in a similar fashion to other synth makers as of late.

The short clip, uploaded to Korg’s Instagram account, states that the synth is set to greet us on “1.7.2020”. In the comments, Korg tags the post with “#namm, #namm2020”, so no doubt we will be seeing more of this in next month’s NAMM event. You can check out the teaser clip below.
