Superbooth 2019: Korg’s Volca Nubass is a tube-powered analogue synth

In the new Volca Nubass, Korg wasn’t content with designing an all-analogue synthesizer. The company went one step further, adding a vacuum tube within the bass synth’s oscillator.
According to Korg, this makes the Volca Nubass the first analogue synth to use a miniaturised Nutube valve. So your acid squelches will be richer, your distortion thicker and your harmonics warmer, the company claims.
Other features on the Nubass include: a 16-step sequencer, transistor ladder low-pass filter, and a guitar pedal-inspired analogue overdrive section. It also ships with a suite of software from Izotope.
