Put together your own audio gear with MakeProAudio’s new DIY platform
The brand likens the system to Lego.
MakeProAudio has unveiled the MPA Platform, a system that lets you assemble your own synths, mixers and control gear.
The building blocks of the system are pre-constructed components called Tile modules. These are assembled to form Blocks, which can serve a variety of functions, from controlling to mixing to synthesizing and more. All of this comes in a MakeKit, which provides you with everything you need, including instructions for installing a Raspberry Pi that runs GLUE, the control software that holds everything together.
MPA’s first individual Maker boards and MakeKits will ship from June 2019. Though retail prices have not been finalised, the brand has stated that “all-in box-MakeKits” will be available at under €200.
