Overloud announces TH-U guitar amp and effects software
All the features of the TH-3, but with new amp/cab sims, new sampling technology and more.
Overloud has released the TH-U, an update to its TH-3 guitar amp and effects software. Building on the latter’s extensive library, the TH-U equips you with 15 new amp sims, 14 new cab sims, intuitive rig sampling, amp tweaking functions and more. Here’s a closer look:
Emulations and Cab IR
The TH-U provides you with 15 fresh amp sims, bringing the total up to 93. These new emulations span Superlead and Superbass models, along with Polytune jazz amps and the DVmark Triple 6 head. The brand has also added 14 new cab sims to its library – totalling at 52 – and redesigned its Cabinet IR module.
Sampled rig setups
The Rig Player arms you with 20 factory rigs sampled from actual setups. You’ll now be able to capture the non-linear and dynamic responses of amps, cabinets, microphones, mic preamps, as well as room sound. And with the brand’s R2M (Rig To Model) technology, you can capture both analogue and digital setup samples.
Modding your virtual amp
The Amp Tweak is a DSP-powered tool that lets you tinker with the ‘insides’ of your virtual amps. With a variety of preamp and power tubes along with simulated variac action, you’ll have an abundance of new sonic options at your disposal.
Here are three other new features:
- Shimmer reverb and delay effects
- Multitrack looping capabilities
- A search function to easily find presets and bank lists
