A black version of the Nothing Ear (1) is officially out following a recent online leak and the brand’s teasing of a dark colourway release just days ago.

Back in July, Nothing’s highly raved transparent earbuds debuted with white being the only colour option. Now, fans of the minimalist look can enjoy a black edition of the Ear (1) at the same price of $99.

According to Nothing, the earbuds feature the same internals as the white version. This means active noise cancellation, wireless charging and 11.6mm drivers paired with software and hardware from Teenage Engineering. The black Ear (1) also retains the brand’s distinctive transparent case, sporting a smoky finish instead. Each earbud is totally black, from the matte silicone tip to the carbon-black stem.

Open sales will start at 11:00 GMT on 13 December on nothing.tech, though Nothing says that there will be limited online and in-store drops with the brand’s global partner retailers on 8 December. Nothing will also be selling 100 units of the wireless earbuds, each engraved 1 to 100, at a popup store in London starting from 4 December.

The company also announced that it will accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), and Dogecoin (DOGE) as payment for purchases made through its website.
