M-Audio has made two additions to its monitor offerings with the BX3BT and BX4BT, Bluetooth-enabled monitors designed for both work and play.

The desktop monitors, which are said to be designed for livestreaming, gaming, music production and everyday listening, each offer 120 watts of output. Both feature black kevlar woofers and silk dome tweeters, with 3.5-inch drivers on the BX3BT and 4.5-inch drivers on the BX4BT.

The rear-ported design on both models is said to help extend low-frequency response and for making further EQ adjustment, there are physical controls dedicated to shaping the high- and low-end.

Should you accidentally mix up the left and right speaker during placement, the speaker position switch offers a convenient way to correct things. This could be especially useful for those who find themselves often changing up their production environment.

With Bluetooth, these monitors can also connect to any computer, mobile device or multi-media system. And for analogue connectivity, there’s the option of a 1/4”, 1/8” and RCA input, with support for multiple sources.

The BX3BT and BX4BT come packaged with some software tools for music-making and podcasting. These include the MPC Beats DAW; Hybrid 3 polyphonic soft synth; Mini Grand acoustic piano VST, and Velvet, a vintage electric piano instrument.

The BX3BT and BX4BT are available now in pairs at £109.99 and £124.99, respectively.
