Landr adds three new mastering styles to AI mastering service

Users can now choose from Warm, Open and Balanced mastering algorithms.

Landr Tonic Mastering Engine

Algorithmic mastering service Landr has updated its popular cloud-based mastering software with a new set of features dubbed the Tonic engine. In a bid to provide users with more customisation over their masters, Tonic equips users with three new mastering styles, all powered by AI.

Each mastering type has a distinct character. Warm, as its name suggests, offers a vintage warmth along with softer compression for a fuller, smoother sound. Balanced, meanwhile, is designed to be controlled, with an emphasis on clarity and depth. Lastly, Open provides you with a modern sound bolstered with extra punch and presence, Landr says. Ideal, we assume, for hard-hitting EDM.

Alongside these mastering options, Landr has also added Volume Matching and Mastering Preferences to its platform. The former is significant because it helps you make more objective decisions and avoid the louder-is-better trap. The latter lets you save settings for future projects, stems, as well as bulk uploads, saving you time.

Tonic will be available to all Landr subscribers for a limited time. It’ll also be included for no additional cost in both Advanced and Pro plans.
