IKEA has listed the Symfonisk picture frame speaker on its North American website, developed in collaboration with Sonos – despite not yet officially announcing the product.

The listing described the product as a “picture frame with Wi-Fi speaker” with wireless support for Airplay 2 and Spotify Connect. It is also said to feature “interchangeable fronts” but made no mention of whether one could apply their own custom art.

You’ll also be able to link “two or more Symfonisk speakers together so they play the same content in sync” or control them independently, according to details from the listing.

It further suggested the frame will measure 22 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 2 inches deep; can be hung on a wall or placed on the floor, and will come in black and white finishes.

IKEA product developer, Stjepan Begic, spoke of IKEA collaborating with Sonos on the product in a statement from the website.

“It’s a really good combination to help more people enjoy streamed music and podcasts without speakers that steal space,” he said. “We challenge each other and find new solutions. Like the combined picture frame and WiFi speaker – none of us would have been able to develop it on our own.”

There’s a chance the listing for the picture frame will be taken down before an official announcement is made. Currently, the IKEA website shows it to have a price tag of $199.

The Symfonisk picture frame speaker is one of two rumoured product collaborations from the Swedish furniture giant and Sonos arriving this year. The other, according to The Verge, will be an updated version of the Symfonisk table lamp, which will reportedly cost $179.
