Meeblip Geode Synthesizer

Meeblip has unearthed Geode, a pocket-sized synthesizer designed for thick and grimy sounds. Despite its small form, this unit has a lot going on below the surface, packing two digital oscillators and an analogue filter designed for grit. Here’s a closer look:

Digital Oscillators

At the heart of the Geode are two oscillators that generate digital waveforms. You’ll have access to five waveform options, namely WM, pulse, sawtooth, triangle and noise. If you want to get a little wild, you can blend both oscillators with an A/B mix knob, toggle a Sub Octave switch or tweak the Detune knob.

Twin-T analogue filter

Besides its digital oscillators, the Geode also features a Twin-T analogue filter that’s modelled after a 70s guitar distortion circuit. Like the circuit, this filter lets you dial in some classic dirt, the brand claims.

Shaping your sound

The Geode’s sound can be further sculpted by an envelope section, which includes controls such as Attack, Decay, Sustain and Glide. There’s also the ability to route modulation to both filter and pitch, which produces subtle effects as well as “chaotic wearables and FM-style sounds” when cranked, according to MeeBlip.

One-knob control system

MeeBlip has designed Geode for a hands-on experience, so each knob is dedicated to a specific function, making it easier to tweak the synth’s sound. You can also control it remotely via MIDI with both USB and 5-pin DIN connections available.
