Japanese audio brand Denon has introduced the DHT-S517, a soundbar system with a wireless subwoofer and support for Dolby Atmos.

The new soundbar features a 3.1.2 channel system, with left and right mid-range drivers and tweeters, a dedicated center channel, and two up-firing speakers.

DHT-S517 is equipped with Denon’s dialogue enhancer technology, which should improve dialogue intelligibility without affecting the overall system volume. Made for movies and TV shows, the dialogue enhancer has three different modes to match whatever you’re watching.

For general sounds, Denon offers four different modes – Movie, Music, Night and Pure – to suit different home viewing experiences.

The soundbar comes with Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI eARC port and digital optical input. There’s also an additional 4K-enabled HDMI port so external sources can be directly connected to the soundbar.

Trip Randall, president at Denon, shared in statement, “With our newest Denon soundbar, you’ll immediately boost your home theatre experience to upgraded 3D sound and will find your viewing experience makes exponential leaps forward for the better.”

Denon’s DHT-S517 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system will be available by the end of January at $449.
